Notepad++ editor support

By default, the OpenSees installer sets up the classic Notepad++ editor on your computer and prepares it for running TCL models. For this purpose, you only need to uninstall any previous version of Notepad++ from your computer before starting the OpenSees installation.

At the end of the installation, simply right-click on your TCL model file and select “Edit with Notepad++”. After that, by pressing the Shift + F5 shortcut inside Notepad++, you can run your OpenSees models.

Pressing this key saves all files currently being edited in Notepad++ before running OpenSees, ensuring that your latest changes are applied when OpenSees is executed.
